Watersport Activities in The English Riviera

Where better to spend your time on the English Riviera, than the wonderful natural setting of Torbay itself.

With several beaches hosting the prestigious Blue Flag Awards and sea temperature amongst the warmest in the UK, there really is no better place to try out the wide range of water sports on offer.

The hotel overlooks the fantastic Goodrington Beach, which offers a host of watersports activities during the Summer, including Water Skiing and Fun Boat Rides. The hotel is also within a 10 minute walk of Paignton Harbour, which offers Scuba Diving, Kayak Hire, Wreck Fishing and Pleasure Boat Rides.

Paignton Sailing Club

Paignton Sailing Club has fleets of Fireballs, Lasers, Toppers, Albacores, and Laser 2000 and 4000 plus a variety of craft in the handicap fleet. Each year the Club runs a couple of weekend open events and the national championship of a major association.

The Club is also host to Paignton Regatta and provides a summer and winter race programmes for people who enjoy getting out on the water and indulging in a bit of friendly competition.

Torbay Sea School

We are a friendly and professional RYA training centre situated on the beautiful English Riviera in South Devon.

Torbay is flanked by the towns of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham. This is an ideal place to enjoy your RYA training course using the sheltered waters of Torbay and local estuaries such as Dartmouth and Salcombe.
